Lynne Franks first rose to fame with her eponymous PR agency
back in the eighties. She represented some of the hottest designers
and pop stars of the era, including Katharine Hamnett and Annie
Lennox - and became something of a celebrity herself.
Franks was not only the Queen of PR, she was the doyenne of high
fashion, co-founding London Fashion Week, which has become a
stalwart in the fashion calendar.
Now, in 2010, Franks is back with a brand new business:
networking space B.Hive. This retreat in Covent Garden is a haven
for women entrepreneurs - and they are flocking to the trendy
hotspot in droves.
In this interview, Franks explains the concept behind B.Hive,
and talks about her passion for empowering and connecting women
entrepreneurs.
She is a self-confessed BlackBerry addict, and has her own take
on the social media revolution: "When they're nailing me in my
coffin, I'll be on my phone going, 'Is it getting hot in here?',"
she jokes.
To find out all about this exciting new business, why Franks
loves being an entrepreneur, and her newfound fondness for
Absolutely Fabulous, hit the play button.
Lynne Franks is speaking at the smarta way to do
