Chemistdirect.co.uk provides over 20,000 health and beauty
products online at prices that heavily undercut the high street -
in some cases by up to 90%. Its aim is to deliver those products to
customers' doors within 24 hours. The service is supervised by
fully-qualified pharmacists who are available to discuss symptoms
and issues about medical problems. It made a profit of more than
£1m in its first three months.
Mitesh launched Chemistdirect.co.uk in November 2007 with the
support of his wife Krishna, a registered pharmacist. He'd
previously been in credit derivatives at UBS, getting out in time
before the credit crunch hit.
