my-wardrobe.com is an entirely fashion-focused web site, positioned in the 'everday luxury' market - between high-end designer labels and high-street fashion. Sarah Curran launched her online business from France in April 2006. Since then it's grown to almost 100 employees and has two premises, in Nottingham and London. In July 2010, my-wardrobe.com completed a major funding round led by Balderton Capital - reportedly to the tune of $9m.
Prior to starting my-wardrobe.com, fashion entrepreneur Sarah Curran was running her own fashion boutique, Powder, and before that she was working as a subeditor at The Times.
In this entrepreneur interview, Sarah Curran talks about what it takes to build and grow an online business, from a forensically monitored PPC strategy to some serious investment, how to convince big name fashion designers to let you sell their clothes online, and the challenges and thrills of running a fashion business online.
