Warren Bennett and David Hathiramani have revolutionised the bespoke suit market. Step aside, Saville Row, you can now design, tweak and monogram your dream suit over the digital airwaves - and have it expertly fitted at your convenience. A Suit That Fits launched in 2006; five years on, it's got the market all sewn up.
The business was born on Bennett's gap year. While volunteering in Nepal in 2005, he had a number of suits made to order. He kept in touch with the tailors on his return to London and, after discussing the idea with long-term friend David, the business model was conceived. "I was looking for my first customer," says Bennett. "But what I found was a partnership."
The suits are purchased online, fitted in store and tailored in Nepal. There are currently some 40 billion suit combinations available to order. From a single outlet in Liverpool Street, A SuitThatFits currently boast 25 stores across the UK. Here's how they did it.
