5-10 seconds: What's the business model?
It's difficult to re-invent the wheel, but we advertise used cars from private individuals and the motor trade. We hope that we've created something that is a little bit unique and stands out from the crowd with a website that is easy to use.
10-15 seconds: Who are your competitors?
15-20 seconds: What's your USP?
The site is modern, different to the pack and functional. We hope to take advantage and get ahead by leveraging social media going forward. The team. The fact that's it's free for private individuals.
20-25 seconds: How have you funded it so far?
So far we have been privately funded.
25-30 seconds: What were you doing before?
Worked in finance, trading all things credit.
30-35 seconds: Where did the idea come from?
Being car enthusiasts we spent a lot of the working day surfing car websites. We were frustrated that no-one had got it right and figured why not give it a go and execute it properly.
35-40 seconds: What's the smartest thing you've done so far?
Having the idea and getting the website 100% (or close to 100%) perfect.
40-45 seconds: What's the stupidest?
Spending money on advertising too early.
45-50 seconds: If your business was a biscuit, what would it be?
Rich-Tea (during a dunk), we're constantly soaking up stuff going on around us and that makes us way more interesting as a company
50-55 seconds: Which idea are you a bit jealous of?
Crowdity - love their idea and the fact that they are in the leading pack, rather than having to manouver tactically to the front with the big guys
55-60 seconds: Where are you going to be in 12 months' time?
We will be shaking things up…
