We caught up with PR guru Lynne
Franks at the launch of her new women's business networking
club B.Hive.
Lynne passionately believes the time is ripe for women to become
entrepreneurs - and we couldn't agree more. The door is definitely
more open than it ever has been before. And B.Hive has been
designed to be as conducive as possible to that mecca of
self-employment - buzzy networking.
Lynne created the space in partnership with Regus, and at
£25/month for access to events, meeting rooms and Wi-Fi as well as
the club itself, it really is one of the best value private members
clubs you'll come across in London. The space, just off
London's Covent Garden, is beautifully designed too - calm, stylish
and pretty without being overly girly, lush with art and laden with
chandeliers we're rather envious of. The plan is to roll B.Hive out
nationwide, then, hopefully, internationally too.
The debate quietly rumbles on in the background about whether
women need an exclusive networking and business club, but the
atmosphere last night suggested they'll certainly benefit from it,
and we're all for anything that helps business owners expand their
networks and opportunities. Lynne explains above why she thinks
B.Hive is needed and why it works so well. Feel free to add your
opinions below.
