Right - everything's top secret right now, but this much we
can tell you: this new year, the inaugural Social Media Awards are coming
to the UK.
They're going to be UK-wide, open for anyone to enter, decided
by your votes, and BIG!
The Social Media Awards are about micro-businesses, big
companies and individuals alike. We're on a mission to find the
social media stars more stupendous than Stephen Fry and more
business-brilliant than Biz Stone - and that could mean you.
We'll be celebrating them all with one of the biggest bashes the
social media world has ever seen, studded with industry greats,
social-loving celebrities, and sponsors that'll make your eyes and
goodie bags pop. Plus, we're throwing in a few surprise technology
wonders to make the night really special.
Categories will include best performance on Twitter, Facebook,
LinkedIn, Foursquare, Flickr, YouTube, best personal and business
blog, best social campaign and app, and more. Then there will be
overall winners for the best social media small business of the
year, the business celebrity of the year, the big brand of the year
and the best social media individual, among other awards.
Everything's top secret at the moment - but you'll have to
believe us when we say this is going to be big, and we've already
got some of the greatest names in social media to sign up.
Details on how to enter and the red-hot big-name judging panel
are coming soon (winners will be decided by a mixture of your votes
and judges). For now, start thinking about how you'll fit in to the
