Pop-up shops are all the rage. And marketing and ad agency Ogilvy has created a pop-up phenomenon, opening branches of its 'Idea Shop' concept in Brixton and London's East End.
Idea Shop Social is the agency's third bite at the cherry. This time, the pop-up shop is situated slap bang in the middle of Central London - on Oxford Street no less.
"Central London isn't just the home of big corporations and chain retailers," says Idea Shop founder Ruth Jamieson. "It's forgotten that in places like Soho, Fitzrovia and Bloomsbury, there are hundreds of small businesses.
Visitors to the Idea Shop Social can speak to Ogilvy's specialists - who are volunteering their time for the event - about social media, advertising, public relations, branding, SEO and everything in between.
Got an idea for a digital marketing strategy? Run it past the experts for free.
So what's in it for Ogilvy, I hear you cry. Just as mentors say that they learn just as much as their charges during advice sessions, the marketing experts at Ogilvy pick up a whole host of ideas and inspiration from talking to businesses like you.
Jamieson explains: "What we aim to do is provide support and help by pointing people in the right direction no matter what their marketing, advertising or communication issue and supply them with tailor-made ideas and tactics that they can implement straight away. And it's also a fantastic morale booster for us - and we learn a great deal as well as have real fun."
Idea Shop Social will run from February 8 - 10 to coincide with Social Media Week. To make your appointment with the team, go to IdeaShop.Ogilvy.co.uk
