The public has spoken and we have listened. After receiving a large number of requests for a deadline extension (apparently many of you have been nobbled by the school holidays and lack of internet access on the beach), we have moved the deadline back by one week.
The Smarta 100 Awards celebrates and rewards a true cross-section of the UK's savviest, enterprising small businesses.
Ever year, we unearth the high-street heroes, market traders on a mission, eBay entrepreneurs, budding Bransons, the innovators ploughing new furrows in staid industries, the recession-busters shunning the doom and gloom, the web wonders, the teenpreneurs, mumpreneurs or olderpreneurs, the Smarta 100 captures the very essence of a small business sector powering the UK's economic recovery.
We want to give you all ample opportunity to take part in this year's awards: the biggest yet! The prizes include £10,000 for the O2 Business of the Year, as well as a host of special awards to be decided by our judges: King of Shaves' Will King, Bebo founder Michael Birch, PR guru Lynne Franks, TV's Sarah Beeny, creator of MySingleFriend.com and Tepilo.com and Simon Devonshire, General Manager of SMB for O2 and co-founder of social enterprise, One Water.
Smarta founder Shaa Wasmund says: "I've already seen some of the entries for this year and they're exactly what I expected: businesses that make you sit up and think, 'wow, that's a great idea, why didn't I think of that?'
"There will be businesses in this year's Smarta 100 that are, in my eyes, already outperforming their more established, larger counterparts - if you think I'm talking about businesses like yours then enter now."
Best of luck!
