60-second start-up: ConvenienceMedical.com

0-5 seconds: Sum your business up in a sentence

Conveniencemedical.com is the UK's first and only online GP clinic where patients can get diagnosis and treatment from the comfort and privacy of their own home.

5-10 seconds: What's the business model?

Step 1: The patient fills out a questionnaire online.

Step 2: A GP reviews those answers and provides a diagnosis and treatment plan.

Step 3: Sit back and wait for your medication to arrive

10-15 seconds: Who are your competitors?

We are unique.

15-20 seconds: What's your USP?

We've combined medicine and technology to maximise patient benefit and bring healthcare into the 21st century. Patients can get a quick and embarrassment free diagnosis from the comfort of their own home.

20-25 seconds: How have you funded it so far?

We have funded it through private investment.

25-30 seconds: What were you doing before?

I was working in the NHS as a doctor in several specialities including cardiac and vascular surgery.

30-35 seconds: Where did the idea come from?

A patient confided in me that he was suffering from male impotence but didn't want to see his own GP and I thought why make patients go through such embarrassment, when they can be fully diagnosed through a questionnaire?

35-40 seconds: What's the smartest thing you've done so far?

Together with four other people survive and navigate our way through a Brazilian rainforest without a compass and half a bottle of water between us - it's a long story!

From a business point of view we've managed to enter the market first which should prove a great advantage long-term.

40-45 seconds: What's the stupidest?

Jumping from the world's highest bungee in South Africa.

45-50 seconds: If your business were a biscuit, what would it be?

If we had to be a biscuit we'd be a chocolate caramel digestive, as we have a number of different elements to our company, but all of them tasty! However, we're more like a cereal bar as we're quick and convenient.

50-55 seconds: Which idea are you a bit jealous of?

Amazon.com and the way they transformed buying books. Hopefully we can do the same with healthcare.

55-60 seconds: Where are you going to be in 12 months' time?

Sitting beside Theo Paphitis and the gang on the Dragons' Den.
