A new enterprise calendar gives easy access to all the
key business dates in 2012.
The Minister for Enterprise has this week launched an
interactive enterprise calendar, packed with all the key events for
start-ups and entrepreneurs for the year. It is the latest
initiative by the enterprise campaign group StartUp Britain. Events
listed range from small regional networking sessions to large scale
events such as Global Entrepreneurship Congress and the Smarta 100
awards.
While entrepreneurship rates increased in 2011, making the UK
one of the best places in the EU to start a business, Prisk said he
wanted to take it further. "I want us to make every week Global
Entrepreneurship Week," he said.
Rajeeb Dey, Co-founder of StartUp Britain said the calendar will
shine a spotlight on the range of resources that exist for people
wanting to start or grow a business in 2012. "This will be a unique
asset for small businesses to search for and find relevant events
in their area and plan their year ahead," he said.
The calendar currently features more than 600 events and
networking opportunities. Anybody who is hosting their own
enterprise event can add to it on the StartUp Britain website.
