'The Revolution' will see each of the wheels 42 pods play host to a mentoring session like none other, matching small businesses with established entrepreneur's to give them a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to gain tips from those who have enjoyed success in starting their own ventures.
Business owners will be able to grill entrepreneurs such as Will King, founder of the UK's second largest shaving brand King of Shaves; Doug Richard, former TV Dragon and founder of School for Startups; and Smarta's very own founder Shaa Wasmund.
"We are incredibly excited to be able to offer Liverpool businesses this chance to gain first-hand advice from some of the country's leading entrepreneurs," says Wasmund. "The event is revolutionary in every sense of the word, providing support to local business in a new and exciting way, setting them on a path to growth and helping to reach their potential."
Bringing the main festival day to a close in style, the session will continue for two revolutions of the famous wheel. Lasting twenty minutes, it will give the mentee's unprecedented access to uncover successful strategies and learn from experienced entrepreneurs' mistakes.
Coming to Britain for the first time, the GEC is the largest gathering of start-up champions from around the world and will provide delegates with a unique opportunity to meet and network with some of the most successful and innovative entrepreneurs and hear from speakers including Sir Richard Branson, Sir Terry Leahy, Martha Lane Fox and Lord Heseltine.
The event is one of many ways in which the Congress aims to leave a lasting and positive legacy to its host city, providing real, grassroots support to local business owners and inspiring them to realise their ambitions.
Chief executive of Liverpool Vision, the city's economic development company, Max Steinberg, was delighted with the news of Smarta Business Builder's takeover, "The Revolution is a visual emblem of the power of ambition and the importance of 'going for it', he says. "The Revolution is not just an opportunity to give practical help and support to local businesses, but to lend inspiration and encouragement to those who have taken the courageous step to turn their dreams into reality."
