If you're looking to sell to new business customers, you can create a profile for free on Bizcrowd.com as long as you have a UK postcode. If you need a supplier, Bizcrowd lets you submit a free request for goods or services. You'll then be matched with the right company within Bizcrowd's community of suppliers.
If you make a purchase from a Bizcrowd supplier, you're invited to rate the supplier and leave comments to help out other businesses that might consider using them. This of course means you can see how a potential new supplier has delivered for other customers too. In these ways Bizcrowd aims to work as a community and matching engine for small and medium-sized businesses, rather than a directory.
Plus, there are no charges, joining fees or tie-ins at any point. Bonus!
The site features noticeboards for different sectors, making it super-easy to navigate. And there's plenty of social media integration, too. Bizcrowd says in its FAQ: "Businesses have told us that they will engage with online services and social networks that directly deliver results for them. This is what we aim to deliver with Bizcrowd."
Chris Sullivan, CEO of corporate banking at RBS and NatWest, said: "It has always been the role of the bank manager to connect British businesses to one another. Now we're extending that support online.
"We hope Bizcrowd helps as many SMEs as possible raise their profile and win new business."
