At Dribble Delights we are putting the fun back into food for children with food allergies and food intolerances.
We are a smart business because we have recognised a gap in the market for food and snacks for babies and toddlers who have multiple food allergies. All of our products are lovingly made without gluten, wheat, dairy, soya, eggs or nuts – but definitely not taste!
The smartest thing we’ve done to help our business grow is to take on a recently qualified nutritionist who specialises in baby food and the whole weaning process. As our target market have no choice but to eliminate food groups from their diet, we strive to ensure all of our products are as nutritious and delicious as they can possibly be!
In order to achieve these high standards we use the software WinDiets which contains dietary analysis of a wide range of foods. This ensures we always use the best possible ingredients containing the most beneficial nutrients for your little one.
One smart thing we have done for our customers is to provide them with an e-book containing recipes for the weaning stage and beyond – all of which are created without gluten, wheat, dairy, soya, eggs or nuts. Parents we have spoken to have told us that they feel stuck in a rut and have fallen into the common allergy trap of feeding their children the same, bland ‘safe’ foods.
Our e-book means they can inject some fun and excitement into not only their little one’s, but the whole family’s diet.
Another smart thing is that we get our customers to use the #AskKimmy hashtag once a week during our Twitter chat. Customers ask for advice on various topics such as weaning, recipe ideas and allergies and can be assured that they will get a swift reply from Dribble Delights’ HQ! We’ve had a great response from this and we always love to keep up to date with our customers.
In terms of smart technologies, we are really enthusiastic about social media including Facebook, Twitter and blogging. We find Facebook is really useful for keeping in touch with friends, family and local business supporters whilst Twitter is great for engaging with new customers.
We have also recently started using Pinterest and Instagram as we enjoy posting photographs to let our customers know what the Dribble Delights team are up to!
The smartest tip is to always surround yourself with positive, likeminded people. Get together with a group of four to five businesses and feed off of each other’s energy. It’s great to have people around you who can share your success, suggest ideas when you are stuck in a rut and pick you up when you are feeling down. Entrepreneurs coming together have an invaluable set of skills and can offer each other so much!
