50 small businesses battle it out for £275,000 at The Pitch Live

The Pitch 2013, organised by BusinessZone.co.uk will see one business walk away with business support worth thousands of pounds, while every company taking part race to take home a share of £275,000 in equity investment.

At The Pitch Live, entrepreneurs will present their businesses on stage to judges including Karen Darby, founder of Crowdmission.com and Duane Jackson, chief executive of software company KashFlow.

At the same time, expert investors will observe those competing and pick the businesses with the best potential for their money.

One business hoping for big things in The Pitch 2013 is Paul Moutray’s Future Healthcare. The booking.com for hospital beds offers a solution to one of the NHS’ biggest problems. Skibbies and FoodTrade.com are two more businesses to watch this year.

The Pitch Live will also showcase ten entrepreneurs with exciting, yet to be realised, business ideas. These include Charlie Pollard, creator of SunGuard, a flexible visor that helps make reading on the beach more relaxing, and Jordan Bourke who is creating a range of ‘guilt free’ sweets made from healthier alternatives to sugar, wheat and diary
