The National Association of College and University Entrepreneurs (NACUE) have launched the annual competition and want to give students pitching practice and the chance to win life-changing funds. Students at University or College, or graduates of the past five years, have a unique chance to expand their experience and gain valuable insights into entrepreneurship.
All you have to do is film a 90 second video pitching your idea, upload it online and make sure you complete the application form by October 14th. You can enter your idea into two of seven categories, including Creative Industries, Product Design and Green Business.
Shortlisted applications will pitch against other students to be crowned the winner of each individual category. Successful candidates will battle against each other at the grand final on 22nd November where the winner will receive £10,000.
NACUE, who are holding the Varsity Pitch Competition for the fourth year, support the growth of enterprise societies and want to award unique student businesses with funds that could put their business plan to the test.
They worked across 135 college and university campuses in 2012/13, wanting to provide the platform for individuals with innovative ideas. Celebrating and rewarding the UK’s brightest young entrepreneurs, the grand final will be at the British Library with a live audience on-hand to cast their eye over the potential winner.
So if you’re handy with a camera and seeking investment for your idea, why not get your business noticed and pitch your idea to NACUE. For more information on the Varsity Pitch Competition, click here. You can also follow them on Twitter and Facebook.
