First up will be a webinar on Wednesday 17th September hosted by Nima Kafai, head of marketing at Smarta who will be talking to Austin Blaylock of Bluestack Digital.
With the help of a Smarta Start Up Loan, Austin founded Bluestack digital, specializing in website design, unique photography, video creation and editing along with building social media presence for businesses. Austin will be sharing his experiences of the process, the obstacles he overcame and helpful advice to future applicants. There will also be chance for people to ask questions of Nima and Austin pertinent to their business.
On Thursday 25th September, there will be a live Smarta Start Up Loans event at One Alfred Place in Central London (nearest tube Goodge Street). This will be hosted by Matt Thomas, COO of Smarta and he will be joined by Kelly Dunworth, founder of Stellar Speakers; Jenelle Clifford, founder of Giggling Hedgehogs and Jennifer Duthie, founder of Skribbies.
Kelly has a background in psychology, wellbeing and business training and is passionate about supporting others to reach their full potential. Her career path has included everything from educational psychology, nutrition, business advisor, author and publisher. This journey has highlighted her strengths in connecting individuals to key people of influence, and creating systems and structure for marketing company’s visions.
Jenelle has an altruistic passion for promoting creative trade and helping small businesses get off the ground. From a media and marketing background, Jenelle’s vast experience includes marketing and brand strategy, marketing communications, website design and development, copywriting, social media planning, media and advertising planning.
Jennifer is a serial entrepreneur having founded several businesses in India and featuring on the Indian version of the apprentice. Skribbies launched in 2013 winning Jennifer an accolade of prizes including Shell Live Wire Entrepreneur of the Year, Rising Start Bubble London, and Pitch2Rich finalist. Most recently in July 2014 Dragons Den entrepreneurs Kelly Hoppen and Piers Linney offered the young entrepreneur investment in the Skribbies brand. Jennifer is passionate about entrepreneurship and enjoys mentoring several startups as well as fundraising for charities in her 'spare' time.
On Wednesday 1st October Smarta Start Up Loans will host another event in Croydon with guests and venue to be confirmed.
