Consolidating email accounts into Smarta Business Builder

Most people these days have more than one email mailbox.

With Smarta Business Builder's FuseMail, you can consolidate them all into one account. It's easy to set up too.

Just enter the various details of the server that you are pulling from and we'll then check for new emails to those accounts and deliver them to your FuseMail mailbox.

You can then reply to these emails as if you were sending from that email account by using our Web Identities utility.

We can also pull from some common email sources, including Hotmail, AOL, Earthlink, Mindspring, Juno and virtually any POP3 or IMAP server.

Consolidating IMAP accounts

Start by going to Settings -> Fused Accounts. Click on "Fuse a new account."

Choose IMAP as your account type in the drop-down menu. Enter your username and password for the IMAP server you are importing from. You have the option to delete mail as it is retrieved, or to leave a copy. Click "Fuse Account" after you have confirmed your settings.

On this page, enter the server address for the IMAP server. If you need an SSL connection, check the option at the bottom and enter the appropriate port.

Otherwise most IMAP servers are on port 143 (without SSL). At this point you also have the option to decide how the messages will be downloaded.

In Fuse Method, if you choose "Download all messages" this will download every message in the remote account.

If you choose "Download all unread messages only", this will only download unread messages, and mark them as read as they are downloaded.

If you mark a message as unread again, it will be downloaded again. This allows you to selectively download mail.

Click "Fuse Account" to finalize the setup. Your mail will begin to be imported shortly.

Your folder structure will be preserved and messages will be placed in the same folders as they were in on the other server.Consolidating POP3 accountsStart by going to Settings -> Fused Accounts. Click on "Fuse a new account."

Select POP3 as your account type. Enter your username and password for the POP3 account. Choose if you want to delete mail as it is downloaded to our servers. Click "Fuse Account" after you have entered your account information.

Enter your POP3 server name. If your server requires SSL, check the SSL box and enter the appropriate port. Otherwise port 110 is most likely the correct port.

Click "Fuse Account."Your POP3 account is now setup, and will begin downloading shortly. If you chose "Test mail account befre completing" you will be informed if this was successful or not. It may take about 15 minutes before any mail starts to appear in your account.Consolidating webmail accounts

We also provide a way to consolidate certain webmail accounts. Webmail accounts do not have a standard way to export mail (over IMAP or POP3), so our service attempts to login to the account and manually retrieve the messages over webmail.

Because of this we cannot guarantee that this will alwayswork, as it may stop working if the webmail interface changes, or if the webmail provider intentionally blocks our access.

This is done on a best-effort basis.Delete on retrievalRemember that if you do not enable delete on retrieval, you will need to periodically clear out the other server. Otherwise the other mail account may become full and start bouncing mail even though you have plenty of space in your local account.
