Can I make a website using a domain I've registered elsewhere?

Yes. From the 'Website' page select 'use a domain I've registered elsewhere' and enter your domain name. Then click the pink 'Use this domain' button.

The domain will be added to your Smarta Business Builder domains. You can now select it under the 'Select domain for your website' option.

Select your domain and click 'Use this domain' to continue making your website.

Once you've done this your Smarta Business Builder website  will be set up to use the domain you've selected, but it won't work until you've changed your nameserver settings with your domain host.

You will need to log in to your domain host, access your settings and ensure your nameserver settings are set to point to Smarta Business Builder.

To do this you will need to point the DNS-A records of your domain to the IP address 146.101.249.107.  You can leave your Nameserver as the default.

While you are there you can set up your emails to go through Smarta Business Builder by pointing the MX records to MX.MAILANYONE.NET.with the MX-pref or prio set to 1.

You may need to consult the help centre for your domain host to find out how to do this.

Changing your DNS settings can take a while to take full effect sometimes up to 48 hours, so don't panic if it doesn't work straight away.

You can check your DNS Settings by logging into the who.is website -
http://who.is/dns - then search for your website.

Your DNS Settings should look like this: DNS
