Event Production & Business Improvement Manager
Smarta seeks an events expert with specific experience of
managing and running training programmes for small business owners
and entrepreneurs.
This is not a beginner's or generic events role as the
successful candidate is expected to come with a bristling contacts
book for business events locations, providers and speakers - and
will be used to dealing with entrepreneurs and the owners of some
of the UK's most exciting businesses.
Minimum requirements:
- At least 5 years event production experience in the business
training and development industry
- At least 5 years marketing experience in copywriting, website
design, brochure design and filling business events in
London
- Proven track record for building an online business
community
- Extensive experience in evaluating the effectiveness of
business training programmes
- Extensive experience with running multi-speaker business
events for 500+ small business delegates
The role will involve:
- Hosting, organising and marketing the Smarta 100 Awards
- Developing the Smarta 100 Academy training programme
- Innovating and rolling out a new business training
programme based on the needs analysis of our clients
- Identifying and evaluating potential speakers both nationally
and internationally from the entrepreneurial and business
community
- Sourcing and negotiating with speakers, venues and
suppliers
- Leading and managing multiple event teams at multi-speaker
events
- Scheduling and managing the annual Smarta event
schedule
- Copywriting for mails outs, websites, event booking pages and
brochures
- Split testing mail outs and event copy
- Designing brochures and marketing collateral
- Creating a social media buzz online for Smarta
events
- Writing blogs on Wordpress
- Improving Smarta's online presence by creating an online
community of entrepreneur
- Improving the current Smarta 100 awards process
- Evaluating the effectiveness of the Smarta training programmes
and refining each programme to suit client needs
- Improving the existing running of events
- Compiling financial forecasts and P&L's
Technical skills required:
- minimum 60wpm
- competent Mac user
- competent in Numbers, Pages and Keynote
- competent Wordpress user

Salary
£40k-45k dependent on experience and contacts + company benefits
package and share scheme.
