Busymummy

Busymummy is the only organisation of its kind in the UK, helping teenage parents get back into education, employment and training. It uses home learning, mentoring, groups and bespoke activities. By the end of 2010 it will have 12,000 candidates engaged in its programmes. These programmes reduce isolation, improve academic achievement, enhance inter-family communication, and improve outcomes for young children. To date, 84% of its young parents have engaged with education, employment or training as a direct result of participating in its programmes. It also provides training and toolkits to local authority professionals supporting teenage parents.
