off with a personal savings investment of £100,000. By selling
online, Chemistdirect can offer up to 90% off the high-street costs
of some products. Just six months after launching, the company was
the most popular online chemist in the UK, attracting more than
100,000 hits a week. Last year it saw an annual growth of 100%.
It's also been innovative in what it sells, featuring a section of
'Embarrassing' products and diversifying into pet supplies and
electrical goods.
