Girl Geek Dinners

While the gender balance in the technology industry is beginning to improve, women still make up less than a quarter of computer science graduates in the UK - so if you're a woman in the industry, sometimes it feels like peers are few and far between. Enter Girl Geek Dinners, a networking group formed so girl geeks (and their male friends) can meet and network with their fellow ladies in technology, as well as hearing about the latest developments from female figureheads in the industry. From its humble beginnings in London, the group has extended to 57 locations in 21 countries, all run by volunteers. That's a lot of girls looking for friends - but when you're in an industry dominated by men, it pays to stick together.
