Highland Wi-Fi

Highland Wi-Fi exists to enhance visitors' experience to what managing director William calls 'our beautiful part of the world': the Highlands of Scotland. Its network covers parts of the area that bigger networks have missed - or think aren't worth the investment. It is the first company in the area offering outdoor wi-fi. The pair behind Highland Wi-Fi have also created a homepage that visitors who've bought internet access will see, and they're selling advertising on it to local businesses to carry the business through the tourism troughs of the year. They also donate to a local community centre and have set up a business centre and cyber cafe there.
