It is a completely portable, battery-operated baby-breathing monitor and brings peace of mind to parents and guardians. It clips onto a baby's nappy or clothing and monitors breathing effort. If no breathing effort is detected after 15 seconds, it emits a buzz, similar to the practice used by midwives to encourage the baby to breathe. The Respisense team have already secured three new retailers in 2010. The product is slowly growing via online retail, but the team are finding the best marketing tool is word of mouth.
