Lady Geek founder Belinda Parmar is on a mission to shake up the
jargon-led tech industry and make technology more appealing and
accessible to women. She's already worked with some impressive
brands, from XBOX and Microsoft to Grazia Magazine and YouGov. The
business model consists of four key areas: Lady Geek Consulting,
which helps clients develop marketing strategies for women; Lady
Geek PR, which aims to engage a female demographic in tech
campaigns; Lady Geek Recruitment; and Lady Geek TV, the
female-friendly Top Gear of tech. User figures are
impressive: the last Lady Geek video received over 65,000 views.
The business was cash positive within three months of launch and
forecasts a $3.5m turnover by year five.
