Pyjama Drama
Pyjama Drama classes are all completely unique: a child can
start at six months, leave at seven years old and never repeat the
same class. Founder Sarah Owen's background in education means that
the entire programme has been written to support the current
requirements of the national curriculum in England, Scotland,
Northern Ireland and Wales. This is a valuable selling point,
enabling Pyjama Drama to work closely with nurseries and schools.
Franchisees have a wide range of potential income streams: classes
are delivered in 'public' sessions, in nurseries, playgroups,
children's centres and in schools, through lunch time and after
school clubs. Pyjama Drama currently has 16 franchises across the
UK and is on target to reach 20 by the end of 2011. In addition to
growing in the UK market, Owen is also looking to expand
internationally. And there's another possible revenue stream in the
making: Owen has written over 80 original Pyjama Drama songs that
could be licensed to other teachers. Smart!
