Splats
Children love jumping in puddles. That's just how it is. But
wellies are heavy and stiff - a big no-no for kids. Splats are
different. The boots have a non-slip hardy sole to withstand the
most active little feet, while the soft fabric upper boot is
waterproof and breathable. The whole boot is wipe-clean and they
look fantastic too. Fenwick, Micro-Scooter and Surfdome.com agree:
they've already placed orders for the boots, which are due to land
in January 2012. Even Nickelodeon is interested in a slice of the
action and a possible air-time/profit-share deal is in the works.
Splats has been launched on a shoestring, with founders Rainbow
Hart and Amy Gowan selling their most precious possessions to get
the business off the ground. It helps when you've got some great
friends who are willing to pitch in too. Especially when you are
friends with a fashion photographer for Net-A-Porter, a graphic
designer and an advertising director!
