Ticket Tailor
As one of Ticket Tailor's clients explains: "Booking fees are
like paying for tap water in a restaurant. It just doesn't make
sense." Founder Jonny White is looking to turn the ticketing
industry on its head with a ticketing system that doesn't charge
booking fees. With Ticket Tailor, the seller pays a subscription to
use the site and can sell as many tickets as they like. Sellers can
optionally set their own booking fees if they wish, which they get
to keep, but many pass the savings on to their customers. It's a
far more transparent system and one that is already pulling in
revenue: sales at the site have doubled month-on-month since
TicketTailor.com went live in March this year. The business can
afford to build the brand slowly: all the business applications are
hosted in the cloud, making Ticket Tailor lean, mean and versatile.
White is a great example of bootstrapping at its best: to fund
growth he takes on small web development jobs, keeping the business
debt-free.
- Over-hauling an annoying and unfair booking system
- Lean, cloud-hosted business keeps overheads down
- Sales increasing steadily since launch
