Wedge Welly

You probably remember Wedge Welly from that episode of Dragons' Den. Not only did the founder, Sarah Longhorn, manage to secure funding from retail mogul Theo Paphitis, the business is among the most successful to come out of the show to date. From exclusive partnerships with leading retailers to a new international export division, Wedge Welly is going from strength to strength. At peak times, the website sees up to 100 orders a day and turnover this year is set to be nearly £750,000. The business' success is down largely to a savvy understanding of the core Wedge Welly customer. There are three ranges to suit the different tastes of their key demographics: Unique, Flex, Curve and soon Splash, which aims to target the value market.

  • Diverse product range to target a wide demographic
  • Creation of new revenue streams through export and partnerships
  • Retail clout of Dragon, Theo Paphitis
