Yoomoot
'Mass discussion' is the name of the game. Yoomoot allows users
to have consistent, structured conversations across many platforms
by pulling comments under a single umbrella 'question'. Think Quora
but homegrown and more robust. Yoomoot did not have the easiest
start in life. Founder Barbara Nowacka scrimped and saved to launch
the firm, outsourcing the build to Eastern Europe and doing the
marketing, design, user testing and accounting herself. But,
without money coming in, she had get a full-time job to pay the
bills and Yoomoot became a side project. After saving some working
capital, Nowacka is back at the coal face and the service is set to
relaunch with a brand new look this September. The service already
has its first white-label client, 1,000 unique users every day and,
with Quora raising awareness of the concept with its marketing
millions, Yoomoot is set to make waves.
- Launching into the hot social media integration space
- 1,000 unique users a day
- Countless applications: from 'mass decision-making' to
