Zkatter
Founded by serial tech entrepreneur Matt Hagger (he won a Smarta
100 award with business tool Bizk.it
last year), ZKatter has raised £1m in private investment, private
equity and through an exclusive partnership with mobile giant
Samsung. Differentiating itself from real-time photo and video
sharing platforms, Zkatter seeks to aggregate 'live moments' into a
search network. After winning a Samsung developer challenge,
Zkatter launched version 1.0 exclusively on its OS platform and
from next year Zkatter will feature on the box, instructions and
will be preloaded on every Samsung Android device. Hagger says the
partnership has enabled Zkatter to test its technology within a
niche community, but will fully launch as a community and platform
in 2012, when it will also raise a next round of funding. Still
only 30, Hagger started his first business at 21 and has won
numerous awards. He rates Zkatter as his 'most radical idea yet',
but says he's energised by London's burgeoning tech community.
