Belu Water ltd http://www.belu.org/
Awesome bottled water company that gives all profit to charity.
Belu Water is not just any old bottled water company. It's 100% carbon neutral and gives all profits to WaterAid, guaranteeing the charity a minimum of £300,000 over the next three years. It's on track to deliver £200,000 in 2012 alone. Belu refuses to export its water and uses the highest level of recycled materials possible. It launched as a campaigning brand, reinventing itself in 2009 as a product desirable enough for the very best retail and leisure clients - Raymond Blanc, Sainsbury's and Zizzi among them - meaning its ethics don't come at the cost of commercial savvy. It sells through partners rather than customers to secure the relationship, and runs a virtual head office, avoiding business travel wherever possible. It says it "never spends, only invests", always keeping in mind that every additional £15 it could pass on to WaterAid "can transform a life long-term". Belu proves that an ethical product can compete with - and beat - the world's biggest drinks multinationals with comparatively tiny marketing budgets and a six-person team. It's no surprise Belu has attracted investment from environmental and philanthropic heavyweights Chris Cooper-Hohn, Gordon Roddick and Ben Goldsmith.
