After long day at work, everyone loves a relaxed evening with a cuppa. With the flavoured tea market booming, Bluebird Tea specialise in bringing you the most inventive and extraordinary tasting teas. Their unique twist on the typical brew has seen the business receive rave reviews.
They won 15 gold stars at the Great Taste Awards in their first year, scooping two 3 star awards- the highest food and drink award in the country. Prince Charles, who visited them at a youth enterprise event, was a fan of their products and took four home. You can choose from 50 unique flavours of loose leaf tea and a range of fresh tea-based drinks such as tea cocktails, iced teas and tea lattes, all created, developed by their team of dedicated staff in-house.
Selling their teas through their online shop, and at events such as BBC Good Food Show and food festivals, Bluebird are hoping to make their products easier to get hold of. They’re currently in the process of opening a flagship Bluebird Tea store in the heart of Brighton’s North Laines. Aniseed Balls, Dark Choc Chilli Chai and Apple Strudel are just a number of their award-winning creations.
After working in the tea industry for many years, both in the UK and abroad, Krisi was inspired to set up Bluebird Tea Co. after wondering why her home (and tea mad) country wasn't more adventurous when it came to tea. She found her creative and innovative approach to both her business and her tea soon led to success after Bluebird coined the term 'Tea Mixology'. Both Krisi and her partner, Mike, are proud to have focused their passion, time and energy on the business in order to achieve everything so far with their own two hands... from branding to pr, packaging and developing blends, accounts and even the website build.
Mike met Krisi, his business partner, at university where they both studied politics (nothing at all tea related!) and they went into business together two years ago. Mike has worked in the food and beverage industry for over 8 years and his passion lies in customer service. He is working hard to bring the Bluebird experience to as many customers as possible, with aims to open a retail store before the end of the year. Their partnership works well as Mike focuses on logistics, account management and finance while Krisi focuses on branding, marketing and product development.
